The 2.0 release represents two years of full-time development, countless man hours and a very successful beta testing program. During the 2.0 beta stage over 1000 beta testers signed up to download and test the Bluecherry 2.0 beta software. These testers provided countless feedback, suggestions and bug reports that helped shape 2.0 into the release it is today.
“During the two year development of 2.0, we closed out 272 bugs and added 249 features.” says Curtis Hall, Bluecherry’s Founder. “Having a large group of beta testers really helped open our eyes to a wide range of installation issues and different camera models that we would have never seen in our internal testing.”

Bluecherry develops a Linux based survillance application that supports both network (IP) cameras and analog cameras connected to a Bluecherry hardware compression card. Bluecherry provides both 32 and 64 bit server versions for Ubuntu 10.04 and 12.04, along with Debian Squeeze. Bluecherry provides a free cross platform client for OS X, Linux (.deb) and Windows. Bluecherry also developed and released a free open-source driver for their line of H.264 hardware compression cards.
