New installation support option!
Bluecherry now offers a one-time installation support package for initial setup / upgrade of the Bluecherry software, this includes configuration of network devices, extra device storage, SMTP setup, etc. This support package is $50 and a Bluecherry representative will setup a time for you to connect remotely. Switched from Unifi Video due to it being unsupported, buggy, and the viewer only working in Chrome. Bluecherry is much better, ram usage is much lower now, CPU usage went way down and the motion detection using default settings just works. Support has also been excellent!

My use case is very simple, my home and a bunch of salvaged, heterogeneous cameras.
I don’t have a dedicated server, so I run it at a virtual ubuntu under my TrueNAS server.
I tried it all, from zoneminder to some AI based candidates, but no one gave me the simplicity and reliability of bluecherry dvr. It just runs and runs. Very light on resources server-side which is a must for me.
Highly recommend.
